Starting this week, OSHPD’s Inspection Services Unit (ISU), working in conjunction with the OSHPD Field Staff, will be sending to all interested parties a “Tip of the Day”

Construction Matters:
In March 2006, the California Healthcare Foundation published the Best Practices for Project
Management, Design, and Construction of Buildings Under OSHPD Jurisdiction. It was developed in conjunction with the California Hospital Association (CHA), the California Society for Healthcare Engineers (CSHE), OSHPD, and many others. In 2013, the Hospital Building Safety Board (HBSB), comprised of experts from all aspects of the hospital construction industry, in conjunction with OSHPD, updated the Best Practices Manual and reissued it as the Guide for Working on Projects Under OSHPD Jurisdiction – Tips From the Experts.
Today’s Tip: Starting this week, OSHPD’s Inspection Services Unit (ISU), working in conjunction with Regional Compliance Officers (RCO), Compliance Officers (CO), Fire & Life Safety Officers (FLSO), and District Structural Engineers (DSE), will be sending to all interested parties a “Tip of the Day” that is referenced back to this guide and modified for today’s conditions.
For eight weeks “Tips” will be sent daily, featuring topics specifically targeting field issues.
The Big Idea: For projects to have the most desirable outcomes, everyone within project teams must take responsibility for their own personal growth through continuous learning. To sign up, visit OSHPD’s Subscription page and select Tip of the Day.
